Meet Rev Lori Mac

Rev. Lori Mac grew up in Troy, Michigan with a dream and a desire to become a professional dancer.  After graduating from Troy Athens High School she worked to put herself through Point Park College in Pittsburgh, PA, graduating in three years with a BFA in Dance.

The next 20 years, Rev. Lori was a professional dancer.  Starting out as a dance couple called L’Adage, they were four time winners on T.V. talent show, “Star Search.”  In 1988, after her beloved dance partner passed away, she moved to New York City.  From 1988 to 2003, she performed with The Radio City Music Hall Rockettes including national tours, the yearly Radio City Christmas Shows, Thanksgiving Day Parades and performances on Late Night with David Letterman, the Tonight Show with Jay Leno, The Today Show, Good Morning America and media tours.

For 10 years, Rev. Lori owned Princess Parties, a children’s party company and for the last 15 years, she has been a real estate investor.

No longer having to work on Sundays as a performer or in the party business, Rev. Lori went back to church (she had been raised a “born-again Christian”) and landed at The North Hollywood Church of Religious Science.  After moving to Carlsbad in 2010, she joined Seaside Center for Spiritual Living, became a licensed Practitioner in 2011, and has also taught classes at Seaside.

Transferring to the Center for Spiritual Living Carlsbad, Rev. Lori served as Membership Director and on the Board of Directors while studying with Dr. Jane Claypool and the Holmes Institute to become a CSL Minister.

She feels honored to have a Letter of Call from Seaside Center for Spiritual Living for 2015 to join Rev. Debbie McDonnell in launching the new Wednesday Night Service, Going Within.  Rev. Lori says she has come home to Seaside to fulfill her mission and is passionate about the Going Within Wednesday night gathering.

Other interests include, being active in the Big Brother Big Sister mentor program for twenty years and Dance Leader of Dancers of Universal Peace.  Rev. Lori presently lives in Carlsbad with her long time love, Scott Haines. It has been her soul calling to, “Live a life rich in consciousness, serving humanity to remember their divinity.”
