Connecting Across Divides.
Living Room Conversations
a special Seaside Event
in partnership with “Bolder Together” - AGNT San Diego
and other New Thought Southern California Communities
Sundays, September 9 and October 14
1 pm in the Sanctuary at
Seaside Center for Spiritual Living
Living Room Conversations are a conversational bridge across issues that divide and separate us.
They provide an easy structure for engaging in friendly yet meaningful conversations with those with whom
we may not agree. These conversations increase understanding, reveal common ground and sometimes even allow us to discuss possible solutions.
Join Rev. Christian Sorensen and Rev. Kathy Hearn
for the September 9 topic “Race and Ethnicity”
What you can expect
Please arrive by 12:40 and find an open seat in one of the group circles. At 1 pm, there will be a welcome and sharing of the Living Room Conversation Ground Rules. You and each member of your group will have a sheet of questions to be answered during 5 Rounds of conversation. Your group will monitor itself as you move through the Rounds. A brief closing will complete the experience. You will be invited to complete a feedback form the help improve Living Room Conversations.
We look forward to getting to know each other in a more meaningful way.
“Our living room is wherever we find ourselves connecting with others.”
